The Most Important Part Of Your Article

Many coaches, consultants and other service business owners spend a lot of time and effort writing and perfecting their articles. They write a nice introduction, include interesting article content, and follow up with a great conclusion. However, when the time comes to write their Article Resource Boxes, they do not put forth the same effort or have the same intensity. At this point they have spent all their creativity on the article. They are tired and they want to get the article out as soon as possible.

As a result, their Article Resource Boxes are not as good as they could be. This is one of the biggest mistakes that I see online business owners make. Remember, your Article Resource Box is the most important part of the article because it includes your call to action! Your Article Resource Box is what will make your article reader click to your web site or go on to read some other article. You should put in time and effort to make your Article Resource Box appeal to your potential customers.

Your Resource Box is a paragraph that appears immediately after your article. It introduces you to your reader and contains link(s) to your web site. You only have a few seconds to grab your readers' attention and get them to click on the link in your Resource Box.

You should make your Resource Box interesting enough to inspire your reader to take action by visiting your web site. Here is how:

- Make your Resource Box short and to the point. People get bored easily, so don't use your resource box to mention all of your qualifications or all the awards you have received since middle school.

Instead, concentrate on what the article readers really want to know about. They want to hear about your qualifications, and they want to know what's in it for them. How can they check out your web site? Can they get a gift from you?

- Don't use too many links in your Resource Box. Sometimes I see solopreneurs' Resource Boxes that list links to 15 different web sites that they run. Doing this confuses your article readers. They can't decide which link to click on, so they end up choosing to not click at all.

Instead of listing many different web sites that you own, link to just one. This will focus your readers' attention and will make it more likely that your reader will actually visit your web site.

- Offer something in exchange for an action. The most effective article resource boxes (the ones that get most response from the readers) are the ones that offer something to the reader.

I recommend that you use your article resource box to offer your article readers the same no charge gift that you offer to your new newsletter subscribers. This way you will get better response to your article because people like gifts. You will also get more newsletter subscribers, because many of your readers will take advantage of your offer and subscribe to your newsletter to get the gift.

Spend some time on creating an effective Resource Box. This will help you get more web site traffic and clients from the article.
