Article Marketing For Reluctant Marketers

I have worked with many clients who have been very reluctant to market. They were afraid to get out there and talk to people about their business. To help them overcome their reluctance about marketing, I have taught them a marketing technique that is easy to apply even if you would rather avoid marketing altogether. Article marketing is that technique.

Article marketing is a great marketing technique to apply for a reluctant marketer. When you apply article marketing to market your business, all you have to do is do something you already do well. You need to use information that is already in your head and information that your customers are interested in. All you need to do is write it up and submit it to article directories.

Once you do that, your articles will be listed in a number of directories. In addition, web site and blog owners will reprint your articles, giving you exposure on their blogs and web sites.

Here is the plan to help you start using article marketing to promote your service business online:

- Write An Article. The most effective articles are the ones that are of interest to your target market. To find good article topics, look back at your work with clients. What are the topics that many of your clients are interested in? These are the best topics for your articles.

- Create A Resource Box For Each Article. A resource box is what comes right after the article; the 2-4 sentences that include your bio and a link back to your business web site. Use the resource box to promote your expertise and link back to your business web site.

- Submit Your Article To Article Directories. To get as much exposure for your article is possible, submit it to different article directories.

Now repeat this process for 5-10 articles every month and you will start seeing more newsletter subscribers and more clients coming to your business.

Article marketing is a great marketing technique to use even if you are reluctant about marketing. All you have to do is turn your expertise into an article and submit it to article directories. People who will be coming to your web site as a result of reading your articles will already be in your target market and will already be interested in your expertise!
