Do you need MORE web site subscribers? One of the best ways to get more people to subscribe to your newsletter is by offering a free gift.

If very few of your web site visitors subscribe to your newsletter, you are not alone. Many coaches, virtual assistants and other service professionals have told me that it is very hard for them to convert their web site visitors into newsletter subscribers. They have told me that they get enough traffic, and they can see that a majority of that traffic are their target customers, but it is hard to convert this traffic into newsletter subscribers. And if you can’t convert your web site traffic into subscribers, you can’t keep in touch with them and you can’t market to them in the future….

Use Public Speaking To Get Newsletter Subscribers

So you are invited to speak in front of your target market. How do you maximize the results you can get out of this speaking engagement?

You can do that by inviting the people who are attending the presentation to subscribe to your newsletter.

During your presentation, I recommend passing around a sign-up sheet for your newsletter, asking participants for their name/e-mail address and permission to send them your newsletter. To make your offer more valuable, the sign-up sheet should have the information about the gift they will receive when they subscribe to your newsletter.

Don’t have a gift for your new newsletter subscribers? I recommend creating one, as this is one of the best techniques to get more subscribers for your list.

When you get their email addresses, you will be able to keep in touch with them and let them know about your upcoming events, seminars, and products. Doing this is extremely valuable to you as a business owner.

Life Coach Training

Lately I have been hearing from many people who are either life coaches already, or want to become life coaches. Many of them want to know what life coaching training programs they should attend, how they can take more life coaching classes and how they can learn more about life coaching.

What has always surprised me, though, is how few coaches ask me about life coach marketing training. After all, if you want to be successful as a life coach, you MUST learn how to market your business and get clients.

If you do not know how to market your business online and if you do not have a plan for marketing it, you will not be able to get clients for your life coaching business. Many courses will teach you about becoming a life coach, but they will not teach you how to get clients. And if you do not have clients you can’t coach and you can’t make money.

I have heard from many coaches who had to go back to working for someone else, because they could not get enough clients to support themselves by coaching. If you want to run a successful life coaching business, make sure that you seek out business and marketing training - it will help you learn how to get clients and it will help you become a successful business owner.

A Good Name For Life Coaches?

If you are a life coach, should you call yourself a life coach? Or should you find a different title for yourself?
I think you should call yourself what is comfortable for you AND what would get you the best response from potential clients.

I have worked with many life coaches, who became “Business Coaches”, “Relationship Coaches” or “Career Coaches” as they defined their niche and decided who they wanted to work with.

Another thing that we can try doing is talking about what we do in terms of clients’ benefits. When you outline what you do in terms of clients’ benefits, more of your potential clients will be interested in what you have to offer. You will get more clients as a result.

Instead of saying “I am a life coach” you can say “I help my clients find the job that they really want.”

Potential clients respond better when you describe what’s in it for them instead of just telling them that you are a life coach.

How To Generate Leads For Your Business

What are leads? Leads are people who haven’t bought from you (yet), but are in your target market and have expressed some interest in what you do and what you have to offer.

With time, you can turn some of these leads into clients. One of the best marketing strategies for a service business owner is to get many leads daily and follow up with them in order to turn them into clients.

I have been generating leads for my business and helping my clients generate leads for their businesses for a long time. Here is a 3 point plan to help you get started with generating leads for your business:

- Define your target market. Who are the people that you want to bring to your web site and turn into leads?

- Create a compelling FREE product that you will give away to your leads in exchange for their e-mail address. The product can be an ebook, white paper, special report, audio, etc.

The medium of the product is not as important as the topic it’s on. The product’s topic should be very compelling, it should make your potential leads decide that they want the gift and give you their e-mail address in exchange for the gift.

- Now you can use a follow up process with your leads and turn them into actual clients.

How Can I Get MORE Newsletter Subscribers? This is one of the most popular questions I receive from coaches, consultants and other service business owners.

The best way to get more people to subscribe to your newsletter is by offering a free gift that they can receive when they subscribe.

Everyone likes free gifts, so when you offer a free gift to your subscribers you are immediately going to get more people to subscribe.

When people first learn about your newsletter, they are not sure if they want to subscribe or not. But they will definitely subscribe if they really want to receive the gift you are offering.

You want the people who learn about the gift to immediately say: “I want this!” and subscribe to your newsletter, so that they can get the gift. Therefore, the gift should be on a topic that is of great interest to your target market.

How To Market Your Book Online

So you wrote a book, now what? How can you find people who want to buy your book online? Here is how:

- Define the target audience for your book - who are the people who want to buy your book? Who is the target market for your book? Your book is very targeted, so you should be able to pinpoint a very specific group of people who wants the information you are sharing in the book.

- Start a newsletter to collect the email addresses of people who visit your web site. Not everyone is going to buy your book the first time they visit your web site. If you can’t keep in touch with them AFTER they have visited your web site, you have lost them forever.

If you are able to get their email address you will be able to market your book to them for a long time. Plus, if you decide to offer other products based on your book (teleseminars, ebooks, etc) you will be able to use your e-mail list to promote them as well.

- Create a marketing plan for your book. There are lots of things you can do to market your book - article marketing, blogging, search engine optimization, public speaking, etc.

Make sure your plan addresses how to get traffic to your web site, how to turn your traffic into leads and how to turn your leads into buyers.

The Best Technique To Sell More Books And Ebooks

Many people have asked me - what is the best marketing technique to use to sell more books? If I start blogging, will I sell more books next week? Will article marketing sell 100 more copies of my ebooks?

Truth is, no marketing technique - blogging, search engine optimization, article marketing or any other one - will increase your sales immediately.

What you need to find out is how a particular marketing technique will fit into your overall marketing plan.

Many marketing techniques are designed to bring people interested in what you do to your web site. However, those techniques don’t account for what happens AFTER you bring them to your web site.

If you do absolutely nothing in addition to blogging, people will come to your blog, read it, linger for a bit and leave. This is because there will not be any incentive for them to stick around.

People are bombarded with tons of marketing messages every day. Many of your blog visitors will forget about your blog and its address two minutes after they leave it.

Therefore, it is imperative to make sure that you can collect the e-mail addresses of people who visit your blog. If you can get their e-mail address, you will be able to e-mail them, market to them, and sell your books to them long after they have visited your blog.

You should do this with every marketing technique you use - figure out how to use it to add people to your list, so that you can continue to market to them long after they have visited your web site.
