Earn More By Marketing Together

Wednesday, May 10th, 2006

It is amazing how much more you can accomplish by teaming up with other business owners to help each other market. Here are just a few ways to do that:

- Affiliate marketing - recommend each other’s products to your blog readers and newsletter subscribers. Affiliate marketing is a gold mine when it comes to selling your products - make sure you utilize it in your business.

- Referral programs - use these programs to refer clients to non-competing business owners, and get clients referred to you.

- Bonus donations - do you need bonuses to give away with your upcoming e-book? Don’t spend the time on creating your bonuses in addition to e-book. Instead, ask others to contribute bonuses. This will save you time, and provide the additional
exposure for them - win-win situation.

There are many more ways to market together, and I will be discussing them during the Earn More Money Through Partnerships Teleseminar.

What Do YOU Love To Do?

Wednesday, March 29th, 2006

What are YOU passionate about? I have always been interested in a few different things:

- Teaching - I started teaching when I explained math to my classmates back in the elementary school and I haven’t stopped since.

- Technology - ever since I got online, I wanted to know how to use the Internet to do business, how to use it to simplify tasks and how it can be used to make money.

- Marketing - I have always been fascinated with how marketing is used to get a message out.

I combined my interests to make my business what it is today.

What about YOUR passions? Do you use them in your business?

Cost Per Click Versus Cost Per Action

Tuesday, March 28th, 2006

When you are an online business, and faced with a choice, would you rather pay cost per action(a fee for every order you receive) versus cost per click(a cost for every click you receive)?

How about both? Both models have their pro’s and con’s:

- Cost per action marketing has been around for a while. It is called affiliate marketing, and it is a great marketing techniques to promote your business, products and services. Take a look at Understanding Affiliate Marketing article on more information on it.

Affiliate marketing is just like hiring online commissions-only sales people. They promote your products, you pay them for every sale they make. I have been using affiliate marketing to promote my own ebooks and reports and my clients’ products - it is a win-win situation for everyone involved. The affiliates get commissions on every sale they refer. Merchants get customers for their products and services.

- Pay per click can be a powerful tool to promote products and services online. There are many different ways of using pay per click marketing, and it works differently for different businesses. I have worked with different clients on using pay per click marketing to promote their products and services.

You need to have a goal for the ad - are you looking for a sale for your widget? An opinion about a new service? Is this a branding campaign? The ad should accomplish this goal and only this goal. Analyze your results and make changes accordingly. This will help notice click fraud, it will help you understand which ads perform better, etc.

What Is The Foundation of Your Online Business?

Sunday, March 5th, 2006

Have you ever seen how a house is built? Before anything else, the foundation is put in place. While the foundation is not visible, a house without one will not be around for long.

This is why it surprises me when online business owners don’t create a foundation for their online business. They put together a few web pages with some offers, then wonder why noone is buying.

What they are forgetting is the foundation, or infrastructure for their business. Without the infrastructure, noone comes to your web site, and as a result, noone is buying, and you
are not making any more.

Here are some of the things that should be included in your online business infrastructure:

- Professional web presence

- Means to process payment for products and services

- Means to deliver a product to a client automatically,
without you being involved

For a complete list of things that are included in your web site infrastructure, as well as ideas on putting them together for YOUR business, join me at MarketingSalad.com. All this information is available in the current online marketing lesson for members.

Why Is Niching Very Important in Marketing

Sunday, February 26th, 2006

Have you heard that niching is important? Lately, I have heard many experts speak on importance of niching your business. Why is niching so important?

- When you have a defined niche, it is easier for you to market to this group.

- When you have a defined niche, it is easier to find groups, events and online web sites you can market your products and services to.

- When you have a niche, it is easier for you to create marketing materials, publish newsletters and speak to your target audience.

A clearly defined target market (or niche) helps you simplify your marketing, while getting better results.

All this week members of MarketingSalad.com, the online business community are learning how to define their target market and narrow it down further to a niche.
